MM6/794 – Poverty, Transformation and the Gospel

This course considers the challenges that issues of global poverty and injustice pose to Christian faith and action, seeking integration of transformational development with Christian faith and mission. Theories of development are evaluated in relation to Biblical and theological perspectives and aspects of current best practice in relief and development and advocacy are examined. Implications for the church in NZ are discussed.

Prerequisite: 30 credit credits in Bible & Theology OR Permission of Dean of Studies.
