Archiving
We’d love to add your archives to the NZ Baptist national archive collection. Contact us, we’re here to help.
Digital Archives
You can send your digital records and images. We store these on our live server, and can add selected digital items to our on-line catalogue.
Transfer Guidelines
We’re a small Archive, so just like with family and whanau – we need your help to pitch in and work with us on your valuable archives.
Before you begin archiving it’s essential you download and read these documents:
- NZ Baptist Churches Archival Schedule 2016 485 kb pdf
- NZ Baptist Archive Transfer Guidelines 855 kb pdf
- Donor Agreement for the Transfer of archives to the NZ Baptist Archive 28 kb docx
Do your best with the Transfer Guidelines. We really appreciate the work you can do. Feel free to contact us - we’re here to help.
Copyright
If you’re sending your archives to us, we assume you want your archives to be as usable as possible. For instance, maybe you’d like us to be able to digitise items, or for others to use your photographs in their publications.
This is why we recommend you complete the copyright section of the Donor Agreement and use Creative Commons copyright. Feel free to contact us if you’d like us to go through what this is, or you can learn more by visiting the Aotearoa New Zealand Creative Commons web page.
Packing

The picture shows one of our storage mobile shelving racks.
The two arrows point to the archival ‘Goldielocks’ boxes we’re asking you to pack your archives into – not too big, not to small – just right.
