Alison is the Academic Director of Carey and she leads the:

Academic leadership; lead the academic administration for all academic qualifications and general administration for Carey students
Quality Management and Compliance; managing all processes and data relating to TEC, PBRF and NZQA reporting, ensuring compliance with government regulations
Student Administration, ensuring all students are provided with adequate information about Carey academic programmes
Leadership for the development of all student systems

Previously, Alison was the Academic Registrar, and Director of William Booth Educare, at Booth College of Mission in Wellington. She has extensive experience in tertiary educational management including external education liaison, internal education support, quality assurance functions, academic management, meeting statutory, regulatory and internal standards, and the mentoring of students. Alison recently led the college through its External Evaluation and Review, attaining Category one – Highly Confident.

Alison has a Bachelor of Education, Diploma in Early Intervention, and Higher Diploma in Teaching from the Auckland College of Education. She has a Diploma of Biblical studies from Laidlaw College and a Diploma in Management from Auckland University of Technology. In 2015 Alison completed a National Certificate in Adult Education and Training.

Alison is Chair of the Christian Theological and Ministries Education Society [CTMES] and a member of the National Queen’s Award Committee [Girls’ Brigade New Zealand] and of Governance New Zealand.
