Carey Baptist College is pleased to announce that Katie and Dan Cuttriss will be joining the team in a job-share arrangement as the Programme Leads of Intermission our one-year intentional discipleship programme.
Katie and Dan come to this role with several years of volunteer youth ministry experience, first at Tawa Baptist Church in Wellington, where Katie also served as a 24-7 YouthWork leader, and then at Manurewa Baptist Church, where they completed their training on Carey’s youth pastoral leadership track. They will be sharing the leadership of Intermission alongside their new combined role as youth pastors at Manurewa Baptist Church.
Carey’s Intermission programme is a one-year intentional discipleship programme for school leavers and young adults. It combines biblical and theological study, practical ministry experience, and personal mentoring within a tight-knit cohort to prepare young men and women for a life of radical discipleship, wherever Jesus leads. This year marked 20 years for Intermission at Carey. Over the last two decades, scores of young people have been transformed as disciples of Jesus and discovered their place in his mission.
We are thrilled that Dan and Katie will be leading Intermission into the next season. Dan and Katie love Jesus. They love his church. And they love seeing young people grow up in Christ and become all that he intends for them. We know they are going to make a huge contribution to the programme and we are very excited to welcome them onto our staff team!
